What is Praise in the Park?

Praise in the Park is a free, open-air Christian praise and adoration event, bringing people together in a relaxed, welcoming setting to encounter Jesus Christ through music, testimony, Scripture and Eucharistic Adoration.

Set in a public park by the sea, the evening creates space to pause, listen, worship, and be renewed — whether you are deeply rooted in faith, returning after some time away, or simply curious to learn more about Jesus and the Catholic faith.

All are welcome.

Why Praise in the Park?

At the heart of Praise in the Park is a simple but profound purpose: evangelisation and renewal. The event is a response to the Lord's call to “make Jesus known” — through music, joy, testimony and prayer.

What to Expect

Praise & Worship
Contemporary and well-known Christian praise and worship music led by Auckland groups.
Personal Testimonies
Short, authentic stories of faith.
Eucharistic Adoration
The evening will conclude with a reverent time of Eucharistic Adoration with traditional Catholic hymns.

Who is it For?

Praise in the Park is for everyone. You do not need to be Christian or Catholic to attend. You do not need to register. You are welcome just as you are.

Who is Organising the Event?

Praise in the Park is organised by the Auckland Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group Network (ACCPGN), an apostolate of the Catholic Diocese of Auckland, operating under the authority and patronage of the Bishop of Auckland.

The event is delivered in collaboration with local parishes, prayer groups, musicians and volunteers, and is held with the appropriate council permits and safety planning in place.
